Senior Systems Administrator

Due to unprecedented growth, we are expanding our services globally. This is an exciting time and a great opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator to join our team of highly skilled professionals. This is a multi-faceted role working across diverse technology environments encompassing Linux, Windows and open source. You will work closely with the DBA, the Systems Architect and the Sys Admin team. As part of the Sys Admin team, and as well as general systems administration duties, you will be responsible for delivering quality service including platform engineering, solution design, software installation and upgrade, as well as managing and maintaining the Linux and Windows based servers. You will also take ownership of managing, maintaining and developing key infrastructure and systems for internal development, production systems and remotely-managed customer systems.
Essential Requirements
• tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or equivalent;
• minimum 5 years experience as a Systems Administrator in a software development environment;
• experience installing and configuring Linux servers;
• experience working with an FTP server;
• experience using SAN technology, especially Netapp;
• strong knowledge of networking switches and firewalls (Cisco, foundry, juniper);
• experience with open sources software;
• solid scripting experience (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.)
• strong understanding of TCP/IP networking;
• excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• strong customer focus and well-developed interpersonal skills.
