Technical / Performance Test Analyst
SIRCA is a leading provider of financial data and eResearch services to over 200 universities, regulators and financial market participants worldwide. SIRCA delivers convenient on-line access to the world’s largest integrated financial market databases and associated search and analytic tools.
Due to growth, we now have an opening for a Technical / Performance Test Analyst to join our testing team. You will be responsible for conducting performance and system integration testing for our test and production systems.
Key Responsibilities
• monitor system components including; nodes, batch processes, system alerts, etc.• review all software documentation including PRS/PFS, and release notes; • prepare a requirements traceability matrix for each project’s test phase; • develop and execute manual ‘performance’ test cases, monitor the system, verify and analyse output and report results; • develop ‘performance’ test harnesses using a variety of scripting and querying tools, including tools developed in C/C++; • assist in the development of test plans. In addition to the following, you must have well-developed verbal and written communication skills as well as strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Essential Requirements
• recognised degree in computer science or relevant field;
• experience working in Unix environment;
• experience in functional, regression and performance testing processes;
• excellent understanding of software development life cycle, defect management lifecycle and issue tracking systems;
• strong C/C++; • strong Unix shell scripting;
• solid SQL;
• Perl and Java experience.
Ideally this role would suit someone with 3 - 5 year experience who has development background in C/C++, and who has moved to or would like to move into a Test Analyst role.
