investment and expertise which has been built up over a more than
a decade.
SIRCA’s Board of Directors, comprising leaders from academia
and industry, in conjunction with our University Members provide
the long-term strategic vision and governance for SIRCA.
John MASTERS
John is a Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). John specialises in banking, capital markets and funds management tax consulting and is PwC's Global Financial Services Tax and Legal Leader, and a member of PwC's Global Financial Services Board. He has worked closely with the Federal and State Governments on policy and promotional activity in relation to financial services, has contributed to PECC financial markets work, and has been a regular speaker and writer on financial services investment and tax policy. John is Chairman of the Company and Chairman of the Board Audit and Risk Management and Remuneration Committees.
Peter James BOOTH
Professor Peter Booth is Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Senior Vice-President at the University of Technology, Sydney, where he was previously Dean of Business and Professor of Management Accounting. Peter is a FCPA and CA, a former member of CPA Australia's Strategic Business Management Centre of Excellence, and formerly Associate Director (NSW) of Insite Connect, a collaborative outreach and research centre between industry and academia. Peter is responsible for the academic faculties at the University of Technology, Sydney, coordination of planning and quality management, the academic profile and student load, and indigenous education.
Peter has extensive research and teaching experience in management accounting, and has been a chief investigator on over $3.2 million of external competitive and industry research grants. He is currently an ARC Oz Reader. His major areas of interest are on the impact of information technology, such as Enterprise Resource Planning systems and e-business, on management accounting practices, the role of accounting in collaboration in organisational networks, the development and adoption of management accounting innovations, such as Activity-Based Costing, how decision makers form judgments under various circumstances and innovations in accounting education.
Peter is Deputy Chairman of the Board of SIRCA Ltd, a collaborative research venture between the majority of Australian and New Zealand Universities and industry in the financial services sector and a Director of the Sports Knowledge Australia Pty Ltd, the International Centre of Excellence in Sports Science and Management.
Tony ADCOCK
Tony is a Director of Red Pill Performance Consultants Pty Ltd providing strategic management consulting services to industry. Prior to this Tony held positions in Management Consultancy at Strategic and Operational levels with PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Business Consulting Services, specialising in Financial Services, and more recently across all industries at Partner and Executive level. Tony holds an MBA from the University of Hull, U.K. and Singapore and a BA with Honours in Economics and Politics (B.Sc). University of Keele, U.K. Tony is also a Director of The Bathurst Group, The Carbon Group and Kambala School, Sydney and a past Director of CBL Securities Limited. Tony is a Fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance (FAIBF), Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and a Chartered Member of the Finance and Treasury Association Limited (CTFP).
Roslyn ALLAN
Roslyn is an Executive Coach. Roslyn was formally the Chief Executive Officer of the Securities Institute of Australia. Roslyn is a member of the Board Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Timothy J BRAILSFORD
Tim is Professor of Finance and Foundation Head & Dean of UQ Business
School at the University of Queensland. Prior to this appointment, Tim was
Dean of the Faculty of Economics & Commerce at the Australian National
University and has held senior academic positions at the University of
Melbourne and Monash University. He holds a PhD, Master and Honours degrees
and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Banking & Finance, the
Australian Institute of Management and CPA Australia. In addition to his
academic activities which include editorial duties on several major
journals, Tim serves the profession through a number of professional
committees, including the Education Board of CPA Australia, past President
of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia & New Zealand, and
current President of the Australian Business Deans Council.
Ross Lindsay CHAPMAN
Ross is Professor of Business Systems, and A/Director of the Centre for Industry and Innovation Studies (CInIS), College of Business, University of Western Sydney. Ross' areas of research interest include Innovation Management and Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing and Service Industries, Knowledge and Technology Management within Organisations, and Performance Measurement and its application in Business Improvement. Ross also has broad consulting experience in the areas of Quality Management (including TQM, Service Quality and Customer Value) and Process Improvement, Performance Measurement, Quality Systems and ISO 9000 Certification. Ross is a member of SIRCA's Board Audit and Risk Management and Remuneration Committees, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
Kevin DAVIS
Kevin Davis is the Commonwealth Bank Group Professor of Finance at the University of Melbourne. Prior to his appointment at the University of Melbourne in 1987, he was a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Adelaide. His primary research interests are in the areas of financial institutions and markets, financial engineering and corporate finance. He is co-author/editor of numerous books in the areas of finance, banking, monetary economics and macroeconomics and numerous journal articles and chapters in books. He is on the Board (and previously Chairperson) of the Melbourne University Credit Union, and has developed and presented numerous training programs for banks and businesses. He has undertaken an extensive range of consulting assignments for financial institutions, business and government. He has been Director of the Melbourne Centre for Financial Studies since July 2005.
Charles LITTRELL
Charles is Executive General Manager, Policy, Research and Statistics, Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA). Charles has held a number of senior appointments in industry including Westpac Banking Corporation. Charles is also a member of the Faculty Advisory Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business at The University of Sydney. Charles holds a BA (Economics) and a Masters of Economics (Honours).
Peter is a Director of a number of public companies including the Australian Securities Exchange Ltd, The Australian Stock Exchange Limited, Next Financial Ltd and Macquarie Bank Ltd. Peter is also Chairman of Capital Markets CRC Limited. Peter has held a number of senior positions in investment banking previously being a member of the senior management team at Bankers Trust Australia. Peter holds a BA in Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University.
