Dr Michael Briers
Chief Executive Officer, SIRCA

Dr Briers is an Associate Professor of management accounting at University of New South Wales and is Chief Executive Officer of SIRCA.

Michael has won several prestigious teaching awards including the 1998 Australian Award for University Teaching for his work relating to the integration of experiential learning, knowledge management and contemporary process based change management strategies.

He has published research in top international journals relating to the design, implementation and use of contemporary management technologies including activity-based management/costing, performance measurement systems, outsourcing and risk management.

Michael specialises in the use of qualitative and benchmarking research methodologies to identify business improvement opportunities and has helped to establish SIRCA as the regions leading provider of business and finance research infrastructure.
