Professor Peter Booth is Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Senior Vice-President at the University of Technology, Sydney, where he was previously Dean of Business and Professor of Management Accounting. Peter is a FCPA and FCA, and a former member of CPA Australia’s Strategic Business Management Centre of Excellence. 

 

Peter is responsible for the academic faculties at the University of Technology, Sydney, the academic profile and student load, coordination of planning and quality management and indigenous education.Peter has extensive research and teaching experience in management accounting, and has been a chief investigator on over $3.2 million of external competitive and industry research grants. His major areas of interest are the impact of information technology, such as Enterprise Resource Planning systems and e-business, on management accounting practices, the role of accounting in collaboration in organisational networks, the development and adoption of management accounting innovations, such as Activity-Based Costing, how decision makers form judgments under various circumstances and innovations in accounting education.

 

Peter is a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee of the Australian Learning and Teaching Council, and has had experience as a Director on other companies.
