contacts in a variety of ways.
- Existing Clients
SIRCA will collect information about you such as your name, business
contact information (including your employer details and email
address). This information is necessary in order to manage our
client relationships.
- Potential Clients
Sometimes SIRCA identifies the contact details of potential customers
through SIRCA's own investigation. This information is collected
for the purpose of advising you about our products and services
which are new or which may be of interest to you. If we do collect
personal information about you in this way, we will provide you

This is discussed further in this Policy at 2.2 below.

information necessary to complete the relevant business transaction
with you or to identify potential business dealings. This will
include all personal information contained in all correspondence
and agreement between you and SIRCA.
- Online Collection
This additional information may or may not identify you. Information
collected through SIRCA's online services will include information
that you voluntarily provide. It may also include the type of
your Internet browser, operating system, address of the referring
site, your IP address and clickstream information.

SIRCA will not disclose personal information about existing and
potential clients to third party contractors and service providers.
SIRCA may disclose information for legal reasons, for example disclosures
may need to be made to law enforcement agencies, government agencies,
courts or external advisers. SIRCA's policy is to only make such
disclosures in accordance with the Privacy Act.
4.
We ensure information quality
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that client data is processed
promptly, accurately and completely and that corrections will be
made as soon as possible.
5. Access and correction
Under the Privacy Act, you have a right to seek access to information
that SIRCA holds about you (although there are some exceptions to
this). You also have the right to ask us to correct information
about you that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. If you
wish to exercise your right under the Privacy Act to seek access
to the personal information that SIRCA holds about you, we ask that
you contact SIRCA's Communications Officer, who will explain how
SIRCA will handle your access request. In the first instance, we
will generally provide you with a summary of the information we
hold about you. We will assume (unless you tell us otherwise) that
your request relates to our current records about you. These current
records will include personal information about you which is included
in our databases, and which may be used by SIRCA on a day-to day-basis.
To provide you with access to this personal information, SIRCA
would ordinarily provide you with a printout of the relevant personal
information from our database. SIRCA will not charge you for the
cost of providing this type of access to these records.
6. Is your personal information stored
safely?
SIRCA takes reasonable steps to ensure the security of personal
information held by it from such risks as loss or unauthorised access,
