The Demutualisation of the Australian Stock Exchange: Causes & Consequences is the fourth book to be published by SIRCA.

This book, written by Tom Cowan, Ray da Silva Rosa (UWA) and Terry Walter (UNSW), examines the reasons for and outcomes of the ASX ‘s demutualisation process which culminated with the ASX listing on its own market on 14 October 1998. The study also reports on the whether the change in organisational structure has improved the ASX as a business and how corporate governance mechanisms have adapted after the changes in organisational structure.
