eBusiness Research
The e-Business Research Program conducts management and technical
research on a range of security, audit, and assurance issues in
the e-business domain. Areas of research include; security and control
of information systems, e-business systems with an emphasis on the
design of secure and auditable systems, e-crime and computer forensics
methodologies, legal issues and tools and techniques, assurance
of systems, transactions and databases, risk management and the
identification of risks to e-business systems.

Impact on Industry
- SIRCA, KPMG and AFMA launched their joint report, New Frontiers:
Assessing the Impact of Electronic Commerce on Australia's Wholesale
Financial Markets, in 2001. The report looks into the current
status and potential impact of business-to-business electronic
commerce in Australian OTC markets.

- SIRCA produced the report - E-Business Project Risk. Report
on SIRCA / KPMG Industry Focus Group. The purpose of this
report was to promote debate about the nature of E-Business Project
Risks, focussing on three areas: the extent to which e-business
development projects differ from other IT development projects;
the nature of e-business project risk; and strategies for mitigating
e-business project risk.
